Autumn Glow: A Cozy Catskills Camping Weekend to Remember

As the leaves turned gold and the air took on that unmistakable fall crispness, our Wolfpack gathered once again for Basecamp Brooklyn’s Autumn Glow weekend — a cozy, food-filled escape in the heart of the Catskills.

From scenic rides through the mountains to fireside feasts and laughter under the stars, this weekend was all about slowing down, soaking in the beauty of the season, and sharing good food and good company.

🏍️ The Ride: Fall Colors + Open Roads

There’s something magical about a Catskills ride in October. We cruised winding roads lined with fiery foliage, the kind of views that leave you in awe for miles.

Midway through the day, the crew rolled into Indian Ladder Farms, where we grabbed fresh beer, cider and sugar-dusted apple cider donuts, and checked out all the bikes gathered for the Fährt moto meetup. Crisp air, good friends, the hum of engines — always equals a great Saturday afternoon.

🔥 Campfire Vibes + Community

Back at Basecamp Brooklyn Estates, the evening settled in with that golden autumn light. We gathered around the fire pit, music playing softly, drinks in hand — our Autumn Glow Hot Toddies warming cold fingers and sparking easy conversation.

This crew knows how to unwind: swapping stories, toasting marshmallows, and soaking in the last of the warmth before sweater season truly sets in.

And of course, our “cat camper” Lupita stole the show — exploring the fields on her leash, practicing her “hunting,” and curling up by the fire like a seasoned adventurer.

🍽️ The Feast: Autumn on a Plate

Chef Allan outdid himself once again, turning our fall harvest theme into a full-on culinary experience.

Friday Night Menu:

  • Harvest Spritz Mocktail

  • Butternut Pumpkin Soup with Thyme Butter Toast

  • Burrata with Tomatoes + Herbs

  • Smoky Sticky Wings

  • Turon (Filipino banana spring rolls) for dessert

Saturday Night Feast:

  • Corned Beef Stew

  • Herb Lemon Chicken

  • Rice Pilaf with Garden Greens

  • Grilled Endives with Garden Dressing

  • Hot Buttered Pumpkin Loaf

  • Autumn Glow Toddy

And Sunday morning wrapped things up sweetly with yogurt and fresh figs and apples, English muffins with homemade apple butter, and of course apple cider donuts — the perfect send-off breakfast before the ride home.
