Words from Happy Campers

Amazing event filled with epic gourmet meals, meditations, and meteor showers. If you’re interested in camping but don’t know where to start, Chef Allan provides camping rentals and prepares all meals on-site. -Heather B.

Every Basecamp Brooklyn event I’ve attended is the perfect mix of outdoor adventure, relaxation, good company, and absolutely delicious food! It’s great to meet likeminded people and spend a weekend refreshing my energy at such a beautiful, quiet campsite. -Erin H.

I have only been on Basecamp excursions I therefore cannot speak from any other camping experiences and I consider myself lucky. The Dark Skies weekend was a triumph on many levels first because of the pleasant road conditions and travel to the destination, second was the ample accommodations, third to find by nightfall with limited light pollution at the site the Milky Way was readily visible overhead. Pitching the tent close to the bubbling brook assured that beyond the centered spirit the meditation observation we all took part in afforded me, the aquatic vibration would mellow me off to a dream state in short order. The take home schwag on top of all that, was an added plus that is currently still in use today. To get out and about like this again, sign me up.” -Chad W.

Nestled in nature but thoughtfully equipped, it includes potable water, a clean outhouse, phone charging station, and a weatherproof pavilion. It’s camping with just the right touch of comfort.

  • Food Worth Gathering For

At Basecamp Brooklyn, food is the centerpiece. Every meal is crafted with premium ingredients, bold flavors, and the joy of sharing around a communal table. From hearty breakfasts to fireside feasts, it’s food that nourishes, delights, and brings people together.

  • Adventure, Curated for You

We fine-tune every detail — from campsite layout to local recommendations for hikes, rides, shops, and swimming holes. Whether you want to slow down or seek thrills, the Catskills are your playground, and we’ll point you toward the best of it.

  • Campfires that Never Quit

The fire is the heart of our weekends — always glowing, always welcoming. Sip a drink, swap stories, gaze at the stars, or just lose yourself in the flicker of the flames. Get close for warmth, roast marshmallows, and find connection in those timeless campfire moments that make camping unforgettable.

  • Drinks for Every Mood

Whether you drink alcohol or not, you’ll always have something delicious in hand. Fresh coffee and juices start the day, and throughout the weekend we serve house-made mocktails and seasonal hot drinks that stand on their own — or can be spiked if you choose. In the evenings, we highlight local favorites like craft beer, cider, or wine, selected to match the meal and the moment.

  • Comforts Already Covered

From campfire chairs to the shower and outhouse, from the pavilion and dining setup to bug spray and little touches — we’ve thought of it all. We handle the dinnerware, cookware, and cleanup, so you can be fully present. Just bring (or rent) your personal camping gear, and step into a weekend designed for ease and unforgettable moments.
